Yesteryear Collection



The V16 Cadillac was first produced in 1930. However the 1933 model had a modificied 7406cc engine which developed 175 bhp. This particular vehicle was built for Aarau Fire Brigade in Switzerland where it certainly proved its quality and longevity and was in service until 1971!

The (Y61-1) 1933 Cadillac Fire Engine joined the range in 1992. The production run was very low at only 20,502.

Livery: (Tampo)
'FEUERWEHR AARAU' in black on gold background over black, red and white spread eagle shield on both front doors.
White 'F' tampoed onto lens of ladder rack lamp.

Comments/Features: The Cadillac had a gloss red body with a chrome plated grille & headlights.
The chassis and bumpers were a one piece molding which was also chrome plated.
It had clear plastic windows and a black plastic interior.
It was fitted with chromed wheels with black rubber tyres.
The roof had two red tinted plastic dome lights and attached to the roof was an orangy-red roof rack which had the brown plastic ladder fitted to it.
The sides of the running boards, the running board steps, sidelights, door handles and the rear drip rail were silver trimmed.

Variations/Rarities: There are currently no known variations so no rarities to watch out for.

Interesting Facts: Examples of the Cadillac were produced for the Matchbox Collectibles range (YFE03).
